राहुल गांधी शायद इस बात से अनजान हों, लेकिन पाकिस्तान के जमात-ए-इस्लाम (JeI) और मुस्लिम ब्रदरहुड से जुड़े मोर्चों से सम्बद्ध चरमपंथी 4 जून को कांग्रेस नेता के न्यूयॉर्क कार्यक्रम की मेज़बानी करने वालों में शामिल हैं।

खोजी वेबसाइट डिसइंफ़ो लैब के ट्विटर हैंडल के मुताबिक़, गांधी के साथ एनआरआई की बातचीत रविवार को न्यूयॉर्क के जेविट्स सेंटर में होगी।

लेकिन इन कार्यक्रमों के कॉर्डिनेटरों की सूची में कुछ ऐसे लोग भी हैं, जिनका सम्बन्ध भारत विरोधी चरमपंथियों से हैं। उदाहरण के लिए, कॉर्डिनेटरों में तंजीम अंसारी, वही आमिर हैं,जो आउटरीच कमेटी ऑफ मुस्लिम कम्युनिटी ऑफ़ न्यू जर्सी (MCNJ) में शामिल हैं। एमसीएनजे का नेतृत्व पाकिस्तान में जन्मे इमाम जवाद अहमद कर रहे हैं। डिसिन्फ़ो लैब के निष्कर्षों से पता चलता है कि अहमद इस्लामिक सर्किल ऑफ़ नॉर्थ अमेरिका (आईसीएनए) के परियोजना निदेशक हैं।

आईसीएनए का एक कट्टरपंथी इस्लामवादी संगठन के पाकिस्तान के जेआई के साथ संबंध हैं, अंसारी और अहमद का इस भारत विरोधी संगठन के साथ संबंध स्थापित करते हैं, जिसने हिजबुल मुजाहिदीन जैसे संगठन का महिमामंडन किया है और अपने नेता सैयद सलाहुद्दीन की ” भारत से कश्मीर को अलग करने के मक़सद” को पाने की कोशिश करने की  प्रशंसा की है”

बताया जाता है कि इस कार्यक्रम के एक अन्य कॉर्डिनेटर ट्विटर थ्रेड मोहम्मद असलम है। असलम मुस्लिम सेंटर ऑफ़ ग्रेटर प्रिंसटन (एमसीजीपी) का सदस्य है, जो जाहिर तौर पर आईसीएनए का एक और करीबी सहयोगी है। प्रतिबंधित कट्टरपंथी समूह स्टूडेंट्स इस्लामिक मूवमेंट ऑफ इंडिया (सिमी) के संस्थापक भी इसस आईसीएनए के सदस्य हैं।
