पश्चिम बंगाल के मुर्शिदाबाद में मुसलमानों की एक समाज सुधार संस्था ने एक फतवा <a href="https://www.newindianexpress.com/nation/2020/aug/17/bengal-village-heads-fatwa-bans-music-tv-and-carrom-tmc-leader-says-nothing-wrong-in-it-2184664.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">जारी</a> करके टेलीविजन देखने, कैरम खेलने और मोबाइल फोन या कम्प्यूटर पर गाने सुनने पर फतवा जारी कर दिया है.

घटना मुर्शिदाबाद के गांव अद्वैत नगर की है, जहां फतवा शराब पर प्रतिबंध लगाने की आड़ में जारी किया गया. इसमें शराब और नशीले पदार्थ बेचने वालों, जुआ खेलने वालों और लॉटरी का टिकट खरीदने वालों को सजा देने और उन पर जुर्माना लगाने की बात कही गई है. लेकिन जो बात सबसे ज्यादा हैरान करती है वो ये है कि इसमें कैरम बोर्ड खेलने वालों पर, टीवी देखने वालों पर, और मोबाइल फोन और कंप्यूटर पर गाने सुनने वालों पर एक हजार रुपये के जुर्माने का प्रावधान किया गया है और जो भी व्यक्ति नियम तोड़ने वालों की जानकारी देगा यानी मुखबिरी करेगा उसे इनाम के तौर पर 200 रुपये दिए जाएंगे.

फतवे के अनुसार अगर कोई टीवी देखने, मोबाइल फोन या कंप्यूटर का उपयोग संगीत सुनने के लिए करता है, तो फतवे में 1,000 रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया गया है। "अगर किसी को कैरम खेलते हुए पकड़ा जाता है, तो उसे 500 रुपये का भुगतान करना होगा और लॉटरी खरीदने के मामले में जुर्माना राशि 2,000 रुपये होगी। सूचना देने वालों को पुरस्कृत करने के प्रावधान हैं। यदि किसी की जानकारी हमें अपराधी को पकड़ने में मदद करती है, तो पुरस्कार के रूप में 200 रुपये दिए जा सकते हैं, जो निर्देशों में उल्लिखित अपराध की प्रकृति पर निर्भर करता है।"

जैसे ही <a href="https://www.telegraphindia.com/amp/west-bengal/lottery-sale-music-at-tea-stalls-banned/cid/1789377?__twitter_impression=true?ref=inbound_article#" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">खबर</a> फैली, सोशल मीडिया पर इस निर्णय को लेकर लोगों की कड़ी प्रतिक्रिया आई. ज़्यादातर लोगों ने पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा कि गांव में शरिया कानून लागू हो गया है.

सलीसी सभा, जो कि मुस्लिमों की एक समाज सुधर संस्था बताई जाती है, के अध्यक्ष और तृणमूल कांग्रेस के सदस्य अजहरुल शेख ने इस फतवे को सही ठहराते हुए बताया कि यह निर्णय युवाओं की ‘भलाई’ के लिए लिया गया है और इसे मानना अनिवार्य है.
अजहरुल ने यह भी कहा कि पुलिस ने उनसे इस मामले में कोई संपर्क नहीं किया है.
